Easter 2009

Well, here it is - Easter 2009, which is my 3rd here in Oz. It's the first one when I've had my own BBQ though. It's not a particularly massive BBQ and I did set fire to it for a while but it's a BBQ all the same.

Snapper!
From Home

As promised the link above will show you some photos of the house taken over Easter weekend. Take note of the Snapper, which was absolutely delicious. It was a seafood feast actually. We had BBQ prawns (the cause of the fire), BBQ Barramundi, Thai fish cakes and deep fried Snapper along with seafood salad and a lot of beer. Brilliant. Can't take any credit for making of it but I certainly ate a lot of it.

Went to go for a swim down at Bronte Beach on Saturday but chickened out as the water was too cold. Sat on the beach for a while and then went and had a relaxing day at home with beer.

Called in to the Three Weeds on Sunday to start off a pub crawl through Balmain and Rozelle. We did run around Iron Cove first of all so it was well earned that crawl. And we saw some good old jazz in the Unity Hall that afternoon as well. All things and places I've mentioned many times before in these pages.

The highlight of the week however was last Wednesday when we went to the Annadale Pub to see Dan Auerbach, of Black Keys fame, with his side project band. If you only buy or download one album this year, buy it - "Keep it Hid". It is fantastic, I have it on repeat and they were superb live.
