Anzac Day

Spent a quiet in on Friday night. Well, in the new extension to the house which is the pool room in the pub next door. Virtually nobody uses the top section of the pub and there was actually no-one in there all night on Friday. I've said it before but it really is a great location this.

It was Anzac Day last Saturday when everyone pays their respects to the Diggers but which is just another excuse to get hammered. On Saturday night we were in various pubs in Balmain like the Exchange and Dicks, all of which were packed out with parts of roads blocked off and all that craic. A good old day out it was. However, I once again lost at Two-Up but not as badly as the previous couple of times. And my sunglasses are ruined because I dropped them under someone's foot.

Went to see Steve Coogan in the Enmore Theatre on Sunday night. Was just like ten years ago back home according to Dave but still hilarious all the same.

During the week we'd been to see Abigail's Party at the Ensemble Theatre in Kirribilli. That came out even before my time back in the UK, but it was well acted and worth going to. We'd had some great Thai food beforehand in Kirribilli village where Lia was remembering how to talk Thai with the waitresses.
