Three times I've been here for the end of the football season back home. And three times Utd have been champions. One more reason to stay in Australia. Watched the game on Saturday night in the Trinity. Was stood beside a scouser doing an archetypal whinge throughout the game but who was easy to wind up. Not much of a game (and I must admit that I can't remember much of it) but a jolly good result in the grand scheme of things.
We'd been out to a Turkish restaurant for dinner earlier that night for Robbie's birthday. Decent food along with belly dancers and all that craic. It was just down the road from the Trinity, which is how I made my way down there for the match. Lost everyone else and ended up back home straight aferwards.
On Friday I'd been out with some of the Monday night football lads. This was after drinks on the rooftop, which were oganised by our department. And that was following a client meeting in Surry Hills that ended up in the Excelsior Hotel. And that was following some sangria and tapas for lunch. Was wasted by 11.00 and did a phantom.
Tara is coming up to Sydney for a visit in a couple of weekends time. And on the long weekend in June we are taking a trip up to Coffs Harbour for a relaxathon. Then I'll be back in the UK for a couple of weeks. So it should be fairly quiet few weeks until all that happens, which is fine by me.
