The touch AFL competition (or Rec Footy as it's known) starts again today. We're hoping to go one better than last year and win. Will keep me out of the pub for a few hours anyway. Thursday night has developed into the new Friday night over the past few weeks. A few of the chaps from work convene to discuss the day's events over some Erdinger at the Albion. We met an English guy in there a few weeks back who designed the wings on the A380. He was Chelsea fan though.
Was at the Comedy Store again on Saturday night to see a show called 'Allah made me funny'. He didn't. And it only lasted for an hour. So we muddled through a few pubs and ended up at the casino to watch Edwin van der Sar drop the ball.
Saw Tame Impala last week at the Enmore Theatre. Saw them after a few of those Erdingers I mentioned earlier so I was definitely enjoying myself by the time we got there. A really great little band although the show was pretty similar to the one we saw about a year ago at the Manning Bar.
Have quite a few gigs to see over the coming months as well. But I'm hanging for either or both of The Black Keys and Arcade Fire to get here. Black Keys are playing at the Big Day Out but, come on, play a side show lads. Please.
