Football and Dolphins

Went to my first A-League football match on Friday night between Melbourne and Sydney. There were no goals and the standard of football wasn't much higher than watching Orient. However, the atmosphere was excellent and the Sydney fans were as loud and bouncy as any I've seen before. It was also one of the first incidences of crowd violence at a soccer match in Australia - nothing to do with me I might add.

Joined a gym to combat the belly busting effects of pie eating but have only been twice so will probably end up just as poorly committed as I was in London.

Went "swimming with dolphins" on Sunday off the coast at Sorento. The dolphins forgot to show up unfortunately so that meant swimming with some seals (who stink of BO) and then swimming in the shallows looking at some random fish. Good craic all the same but knackering if you're a rubbish swimmer like me. So with the gym and swimming I can barely move.

That's Tara, Cindy and I on the dolphin boat, me looking happy as feck to be there.

All this in the hottest weekend yet - 41 on Saturday and 42 degrees on Sunday. Can't quite seem to equate this with the build up to Christmas.
