Went to see The Rocky Horror Show last Wednesday night with Sam. It was her idea by the way but was a good show apart from the guy playing the Richard O'Brien character who was rubbish. It was surprising for two reasons: firstly, it was the first time I'd been to the Star City casino complex (where it is playing) in over a year in Sydney; secondly, it was State of Origin 2 on that night. We called into the Nelson on the way home and talked about sport versus art against a background of frustrated NSW supporters. I'm on the side of sport.
There was another lad leaving work on Friday night. Erik has a liking for tequila and didn't disappoint the rooftop on his last day. We ended up in a really cool place in Surry Hills called the Nepalese Kitchen where they apparently served some excellent food. We had a whole room to ourselves upstairs, seated around a ground level table. Trawled through another few pubs in the city and ended up back home still up at 9:00am with Lauren, Darrin and Sam all talking rubbish.
Continued the gastronomic theme on Saturday when we had a wine and cheese night in the house. Sam bought cheese and wine after cooking some beef bourguignon and pea and ham soup. I got up at 6:00pm and bought some wine and beer. Although I did get the stereo hooked up. And did the washing up (on Monday).
All booked for the Whitsundays on Saturday for a week. Need some sunshine and warmer climes.
