Billy Elliot

Most times I've been to a musical the performers can sing and dance a bit. The exception to this is Billy Elliot the Musical at the Capitol Theatre. It was utter rubbish and complete with the worst Geordie accents ever. Whayaye man. I went to impress a girl. She wasn't. And it lasted so long we missed out on eating anything decent afterwards as well. Three hours I'll never get back.

So, it's been busy since my last posting. Summer is upon us here finally and it's been a ticket buying frenzy over the past few days for various events. That will keep me out of trouble until the end of January.

When I started writing this in work we had Def Leppard on the stereo, Lauren messaged me to have a few schooners at lunch and the sun was shining. What a great day. Now, following football I'm finishing things off. One of the Argentinian lads is going back home this weekend so we all had some beers out of an esky down at the park after match.

So, I was up in Collaroy again on Friday night after managing to find the place on a bus. Had a delightful lamb roast thanks very much. On Saturday we worked our way back to the city via a cool cafe on the beach for breakfast; the Bavarian Beer Cafe in Manly; and the Oak in Neutral Bay. It was a warm day and my head is now peeling after 15 minutes in the sun. Went for some Japanese over in Crows Nest on Saturday night with Dave Wood and his flatmates. Dave is now officially a resident here and permanently in Sydney. Fair play to him. Stayed over at his on Saturday and fixed his wireless modem again on Sunday so he bought me breakfast. IT in action.

On Sunday I went to meet Aaron and some of his mates for his birthday in a recently renovated place called the Beresford. Best hand-dryers ever. Ended up over in Balmain again on Sunday night.

Played football on Monday night and then went to see Spearhead at the Enmore Theatre on Tuesday night with a chap called Michael who used to work at Austereo. The band were a bit Jack Johnson-esque for me but not bad in places.

Oh and I was cat sitting last week as Sam was away. One bit of food and they think I'm great.
