Stuff

I've been terribly remiss about updating this thing over the past couple of weeks but I've been a pretty busy chap during that time. So this is a brief run-down of events. My last post talked of looking forward to going to Melbourne for some good times and they were certainly had. Tara, her current boyfriend Mark (although at the time of writing not so current) and Cindy picked me up from the airport and we went straight to Victoria Street for some tasty Vietnamese. We met Becky and Charlie there too after their trip along the Great Ocean Road.

On Saturday we went to the Lygon Street festival, which turned out to be pretty uninspiring although that's where the butterflies in the pictures were from. Headed over to the Johnston Street festival afterwards and that was amazing. Loads of great Spanish and South American food and salsa dancing in the street. Way better.

We met Kieran that night in one of the laneway pubs in Melbourne and after discovering longnecks of Coopers he was picked up from the street at 5am by his pregnant girlfriend. He was meant to get a taxi home with me but not sure what happened there.

Sunday had great breakfast at the Galleon as hoped for and then spent all day around St Kilda ending up at the Espy. A perfect Sunday in my book.

Tara was due to take a sicky and take us round the wineries on Monday but must have had a guilt trip and went to work. Becky, Charlie and I went to the museum instead with the promise that Tara would take us to the the airport later. She didn't and is now off the Christmas card list.

Back in good old Sydney I missed playing football last week because of the Melbourne trip and Caroline turning up (broken legged) on Thursday. We were out in Bondi that night for some rubbishly served food at the Bondi Social and then sambuca shots at BBs.

Last weekend we had some terrific barbecued racks of lamb and duck at a friend of Charlie's. I left there at 2.00am and went round to Lia's where they were still all up. Ended up partying until 6 that morning so Saturday wasn't much to write home about. Although we did go to the Australian for lunch and then spent the night watching the rugby league world cup final in the Trinity.

Watched Ricky Hatton defend his crown on Sunday afternoon. Saw Bloc Party on Wednesday night who were pretty good I must say. Been in the pub since 12pm this afternoon for a meeting about video on the web. I love this job!! That's all I can write now. Check out the photos.
