Blurry

Been trying to remember what happened over the past couple of weeks as time has been flying by recently. We already have a Christmas tree up in the ground floor of the office next to the cafe. And I'll be 34 soon. Old school.

Today was Melbourne Cup day when once again I demonstrated how not to bet. Was not helped by my mystery bet (random bet that the TAB pick for you) being exactly the same as one of the other nags I'd fancied. We had some drinks in work and it was pretty much a half day for all concerned although it's not a public holiday in NSW as it is in Victoria. I'm pretty hammered now and that's why this entry isn't up to the usual standard, or maybe it is?

So the past couple of weekends have been spent over in Balmain drinking in various pubs, watching Utd and finding more great places to eat. Best breakfast so far is the Town Hall, which included 5 sausages on Saturday morning. Happy with that.

Becky arrived on Saturday morning so went to meet her in Hyde Park in the afternoon for a wine and food festival. Had a few bottles and then headed over to Bondi Junction for the evening. I was meant to go to a party that night for a lad called Jason who is leaving work to go to the UK but didn't make it in the end. We'd been out for all of Friday afternoon though. BBQ action on the rooftop and then a few pubs round town made for a good send off. I've told him to go to the Morgan Arms in E3 where I'm sure he'll be well looked after.

Becky came over to meet us in Balmain on Sunday in the Welcome, purveyors of fine Guinness, Magners and Beef and Guinness pies with mash. We missed the Unity Hall jazz band but found some more music in the Monkey Bar down the road where the band even played some Black Sabbath riffs in tribute to my Vol 4 t-shirt.
