Becky and Charlie

Charlie arrived on Saturday morning and it was great to meet up with him again and talk about the mighty Morgan Arms FC, who are once again champions of the Elms Tuesday night Mile End 7-a-side football competition. Premiership who? Brings a tear to my eye that, as I think I've said on previous occasions in this column.

Anyway, we went to the now re-opened Comedy Store to see a Canadian chap called Sugar Sammy who was hilarious. Not that I can remember a word he said. There was a decent crowd of us and we ended up at the Gaslight playing rubbish pool.

On Friday night I'd been out in the city with Lia eating Tapas at a place called Capitan Torres, which is pretty close to work. In fact we've had a work lunch there before and it is quite frankly excellent.

On Saturday afternoon I had promised to help Sam with some spring cleaning, which seemed to take forever. I mean, who brushes a ceiling? Well, me clearly. I did find something at the back of the kitchen cupboard that was not pleasant at all. I think they used to be nuts of some description and explain the plague of moths we had. So that's me in the good books and thankfully, amazingly Mel the cleaner is back in action even as I write, which is just great.

Sunday was spent watching Joe Calzaghe brilliantly boxing Roy Jones Jnr, which is one of the many advantages of living in Australia as it was on at around four in the afternoon. Then played some more bocce (or lost at more bocce to be exact) and wheeled Amy and a case of VB around in a shopping trolley. I'm hoping to get some photos of that on here soon.

Saw the new Guy Ritchie film on Tuesday night, which has probably been out in the UK since 2007 so you wont need a review from me.

Melbourne this weekend. Hoping for the Galleon, Espy, good food and a top time.
