Moved into the new house on Friday night and then hot-footed it out of there first thing on Saturday morning to go to Melbourne. There are three of us in the house - me, Michelle and her mate Lauren. We haven't got an aerial fed into the TV in the lounge yet so were watching DVD's on Friday night. Lauren wanted to watch The L Word so I agreed to that with the promise of lesbianism on show. 30 seconds later it was switched off at my behest and Family Guy put on.
Am sleeping on a mattress on the floor for now, but have bought a king size bed for $200 that I'm collecting next weekend. Sorted.
Had what you would definitely call an interesting weekend in Melbourne. Had the breakfast of champions at the Galleon - my favourite place in Melbourne that. Went to watch the Western Bulldogs play Melbourne at the Telstra Dome with the full family compliment. There were 8 of us there to watch the Bulldogs get absolutely hammered. Found out they haven't won the league since the 1950's so it's going to be a labour of love supporting them.
Tara and I then went out and about in the city until 5.30 in the morning. I lost my camera so the pictures I did take are somewhere in the ether. I maintain that someone stole it but can't be sure for certain.
Saw Die Hard 4 on Sunday afternoon - highly recommended mindless action.
Then had a beer in Bridie's followed by more in the Elephant and Wheelbarrow on Fitzroy St. Met some good lads in there and ended up staying for a while. That is, until some other bloke tried feeling me up. Seriously. He fully grabbed my balls in the middle of the pub. Now I'm not normally a violent person, but that pushed over the edge so I whacked him in the face and got thrown out for my trouble.
Slept in this morning and missed my flight back to Sydney. Was meant to be on the 9:45 flight and turned up at the airport at 9:50. $185 later I got into Sydney. Expensive weekend all round.
And Utd could only draw with Reading. At least Orient won.
