Back in Oz

Well, here am I again back in Australia. It's been a while since the last post as I had a jaunt around the UK and was very, very happy to see everyone again. But in just 10 days how does a man see everyone?

Landed back in Sydney on Monday 22nd at 6.20am when it was pissing down even more than it had been in the UK while I was there. I believe the sun is splitting the trees now back there. Typical. Straight back to work, caught a cold/cough and been recovering ever since.

Did manage to get out to the Belgian Beer Cafe last Sunday night. Great food there. I had the Moules Mariniere. Mind you it took us 15 minutes to get the beers ordered. Not because it was busy but because Geert, Dave's Belgian mate, insisted on explaining all the beers on the menu. That took some time let me tell you.

Also made it out to see King Tide for some white Australian reggae. It was as bad as it sounds and we left pretty early. Met Lia's dad and his wife on Saturday so they could have a look at the house and then enjoy some beers in the pub next door. Fat Yak is my current tipple of choice and they just so happen to have it on tap next door. Very pleasant afternoon despite the earnest questions!

One last thing. Have signed up for the City to Surf run in August. Its only 14km from the city to Bondi Beach and shouldn't be too difficult. Although all the suggested training regimes started in May so I've missed those by some distance and might not be first past the post.
