Northern Beaches

I'm writing from a grand old spot in Collaroy up on the Northern Beaches. I've mentioned it before as we were house sitting here about a year ago and that's what we're doing again. Keeping the pets fed really. Only this time it's December rather than October so it's summer time and the backyard pool is doing a sterling job. Grand it is. It's also close to some of the best beaches in NSW and we spent Saturday afternoon down at Long Reef where the water was superb for diving around like an idiot. Still haven't quite got the hang of riding those waves in any way.

Of course we'd had a few beers on the way although I was kicked out of Collaroy Servicemen's Club for wearing a singlet before I'd even touched a beer.

Last Thursday was the Austereo Christmas party, which was in Kings Cross this year and the theme was "Smooth Criminal". I went as Eric Cantona in the most low rent outfit I've worn to one of these things to date. Good craic it was although I still have a bruise on my arm from falling off the back of the stage mid dance.

Almost forgot to mention that we'd been down to Jervis Bay to see some of Lia's family again a few weekends back. It was another picture perfect weekend down there and I got sunburnt once again. Red all over I was, but this is us on the beach before that happened. And there are some Kangaroos on the lawn. Australia mate.

And this was great craic too, if a little knackering. Me and Lia's brother Jay doing the shuffle.
