I was also given one of the oddest presents I've ever received for my birthday from Lia's dad.
Yes, it really is a t-shirt with pictures of toilet cisterns on it. Why would anyone make that, let alone buy it? Either he thinks I'm a shit or a toilet or maybe it's some naval thing.
Anyway, saw Pearl Jam a few weeks back when it was 38 degrees at 9pm at night. I wasn't that impressed as they didn't play any of the older stuff. Although that was due in the encore apparently but didn't happen because Eddie Vedder had the flu. He didn't look the best to be fair to him. We had a designated driver that night so parked on the roof of a nearby carpark. Problem was that it took at least and hour and a half to get going. The solution was an esky full of beer in the boot.
Went to see my first live boxing match last night between Roy Jones Jnr and Danny Green (the Aussie no hoper, as our Dave calls him). Two minutes and two seconds it lasted. That was after three trains and a million beer queues so not the most rewarding of nights. Green won to surely put Jones Jnr well back into retirement. And it was the biggest fight in Australia but I don't think anyone else in the world cared. Although there was a good crowd and we were treated to the dulcit tones of John Williamson beforehand.
And I practically forgot that I've been here for 3 years now. When I remember what I did for the rest of November I'll write it down.
