Had a few more nights out over the weekend this week starting from Thursday. My cousin Tara is back from holiday in Thailand and is on a bender as it's still the school holidays (she's a teacher). So, met her on Thursday night in an Irish Pub on Chapel Street. Half way around the world and go to an Irish pub. Wha? A load of people Tara knew randomly turned up and we ended up sitting to talking to one guy who had the top half on one of his ears missing, Evander Holyfield style. Despite repeated questioning on my part he wouldn't tell me how it had happened. Thankfully all of my ears are still intact.
Friday night was much the same, this time in a place called Lucky Coq. Was out with Tara and a lad called Mark, dancing and woooooooping away till about 3 in the morning. Before that we had some Vietnamese food including crocodile, which does taste like chicken - fishy chicken, but in a good way. I think.
Had a quiet Saturday to recover before heading out again on Sunday night. Tara took a cookery course whilst on holiday in Thailand and put the knowledge to good use in making some excellent Thai green curry for tea. We then went out to Star Bar in South Melbourne, which was packed with loads of women, most of whom were encouraged to dance on stage by the band. Got back in time to watch Arsenal beat Utd, the jammy gooner feckers. First time I've watched Utd since I got here and look what happens. So that was over at around 5:00 in the morning and I had to get to work for 9:00. Somewhat tired today and not at all useful.
