Was absolutely terrible, which I expected after 20 months not playing. Not that I was ever much cop to start with. Nice course though and not too busy so hope to get back there in November.
Looks like I may have some spare time on my hands when I get back too. The government changed the way some companies can sponsor workers on 1 October without telling anyone in advance so the visa application has hit a snag. It's looking like I'll have to come back into the country on a visitors visa and wait for the business visa to get sorted out. I don't mind lying back in the sun for a while but that doesn't pay the bills.
Also met Dave on Saturday night to watch Utd finally get their act together against Wigan and Australia lose it altogether against England. With New Zealand also losing there is now zero interest in the World Cup over here. The England victory also cost me a $200 win at the TAB.
Headed to Kings Cross afterwards with Dave raving on about this brilliant strip club. Got to the door and before we even said anything Dave was refused entry for being too hammered. Were allowed into a slightly less "brilliant" strip club and left sharpish to get home.
