Finally, my visa has been approved and I'm now sponsored on a Temporary Business (Long Stay) - Standard Business Sponsorship (Subclass 457) visa. Snappy title.
So, I'm no longer a contractor and am a full-time employee of Austereo Pty Ltd. The deal is that they will sponsor me for the length of time the original contract would have lasted, which is mid-May at this point although there are a few avenues of opportunity within the company to be explored.
First week back at work has been all about getting the grey matter back into action and it's been a slow process that's for sure. All the main shows are on holiday until next week so it's a good time to catch up on the thousands of emails received and get back into a routine. Speaking of which, there are a couple of birthday lunches this week and the whistle has already been whetted.
Also, Dave Whittle is in Sydney so we're meeting tonight for some TDW style reminiscing.
