It occurred to me that this could only happen in Australia so felt moved to make a note.
The girl who lived in my room before me employed a cleaner to do her share of the cleaning every two weeks, which struck me as a damn fine idea and her services were retained. Mel, for that is her name, cleaned the house as scheduled yesterday but will not be available for the foreseeable future as she's gone walkabout.
Gone way up north with Jenny Agutter to the Northern Territory for an undefined period of time. Well, not with Jenny but it still means I have to lift the vacuum cleaner.
