Future Music Festival

Had a great weekend at the festival down at Randwick Race Course, which is pretty close to where I live. There was a good little group who went - Sam, Dave Wood, Hayley, Jayno and Patrick. All people from disparate backgrounds but it worked out well. Chemical Brothers were the highlight despite the sound being fairly quiet and everything finishing up at 10:00pm. 10:00pm! So everyone headed back to our house after wandering the streets for a while looking for a random's party.

Being an electronic music festival there was absolutely no queueing at any of the bars, although they made up for it by putting the price up - $8 a can. No 2 drink limit either this time.

After a very lazy Sunday had some excellent pub grub at the Paddington Inn. So now it's Wednesday morning and I'm ready to write it all down.

After team meet on Friday I met Sam in the Trinity Bar, Surry Hills - a local style pub full of lots of English and Irish. They put the cannon in colcannon down there. Best Beef and Guinness pie ever. Speaking of which it's St Patrick's Day next Monday and Scruffy Murphys is across the road from the office.

Easter weekend is also just round the corner and that should be a fairly interesting time. It's Hayley's last weekend before going travelling added to the fact that no fewer than 5 ex-TDW lads will be in town at the same time - Dave Wood, Dave 'Grimace' Cropper, Adam Meredith, Dave Whittle and yours truly. All involved on the 5-a-side pitch at one point or another.

I'm pretty sure that weekend will involve some time in Kings Cross.

Haven't taken any pictures in a while so amuse yourself with the homeboyz version instead.
