Been at a Stag Do and a Wedding over the past couple of weekends. The Stag Do was up at the Hawkesbury River in a place called Wisemans Ferry. We hired a houseboat and spent the weekend playng golf, lawn bowls, pool and poker. There wasn't a stripper in sight and I came back with a sore arse. That was from bombing into the Hawkesbury River day and night from the top of the house boat. Still, a bit of a worrying report to bring back from a weekend away with the lads.
By the way, they call it a Bucks Party over here instead of a Stag Do. I tried to say this for a while but no-one can understand why I'm going to a box.
The weekend just gone was the wedding itself between Justin and Kel in front of the Opera House. The wedding was in the Botanic Gardens and the reception down in Pyrmont with a ferry taking us down there while the photos were being taken. In fact there was a stripper in another boat on the harbour as we passed by, making the wedding more like the the Stag Do than the Stag Do was itself. Pretty good food and free drink at the wedding followed by some expert dancing from yours truly as usual. Some pictures below.
I've taken some pictures of the house too and will put them up at some point. Including pictures of our resident White Tailed Spider in the back yard. Two and half years ago I would be absolutely shitting it right now so I must have acclimatised somewhat.
Also, been to a couple of gigs over the past few weeks. The Duke Spirit were great but Elbow were better at the Metro last Wednesday night. Absolutely brilliant they were and it's the first "rock" gig I've ever been to where people simply wanted to hear great music and listened.
