We were out for a birthday meal in Manly on Friday night for one of Lia's mates. We were at a Japanese place where they had a banquet for $30 each (including wine). I ate that.
Ended up back here in Rozelle later where we polished off many more beers with Amy and Robbie. Didn't feel too sharp the next day but we'd volunteered for baby sitting duty so had to be ship shape. On a Saturday! So we took the ferry back over to Manly with the kids on Saturday afternoon. A trip out for the kids but also necessary to pick up the car and where I picked up some winter sun on the old pate. It was nice day.
Headed out to Cockatoo Island on Sunday to the Biennale, nearly two years since the last one. The art wasn't as good this time but I had better company and the island is still cool. And that winter sun burnt my head a bit more. In the winter time I got burnt twice in one weekend.
Still, it's good that it was warm at the weekend as it's been freezing during the week and pissing down at night. Speaking of which, we've signed back up for the boot camp in the AM, although it's only twice a week in winter. And I've also signed up for the City 2 Surf again this year although my preparation has been even less well planned than last year. Still have the lure of some free corporate hospitality at the end of the run though. That's in less than 3 weeks so trying to keep on a fairly even keel until then.
