Moving

Moved into a new flat on Saturday. It's about a 15 minute walk to work in the middle of the CBD. After seeing the load of rubbish flats last week took this one one up straight away and am well happy with the location and facilities.

There are 3 girls living in the flat - all from somewhere or other in South East Asia. One girl, Chloe, works as a pastry chef at Summit, which is a renowned place atop a skyscraper in the city with a revolving floor. Not unlike Bondi Beach Bar in Leeds I suppose. Anyway, she's been here for years and is due to get permanent residency. The other 2 girls have a worse grip of the English language than I do so the conversations around the table have been a education in themselves.

Met the Canadian lads again on Thursday night and was an hour late for work on Friday. Those boys can fairly drink. They'd been further round Queensland while I got back to Sydney but it was their last night in Oz before heading back to Canada. Emotional times.

Friday afternoon was another non-event as it was the boss's birthday so pub lunch and goodnight Vienna.
