Spent all of Saturday looking, without success, for a place to live. Without exception every flat was a shit hole. The last one I saw took the biscuit though. When I got there the front door was wide open and a really old woman was wandering around the hall area. I asked her if she was alright, to which she replied "I don't know" and then walked off. Following her were 2 other prospective tenants (legging it out the door) and the landlord, Maria from somewhere in Eastern Europe. She had no idea who the old woman was and couldn't understand what I saying when I was asking her what was going on. It was the worst flat as well.
That was at 8:00 at night so went back to the hotel before going out to watch Utd later that night. Good result that and a decent atmosphere in the pub, which made up for the wasted day.
So, more looking at flats this week, but it'll take a while before this view gets boring.

It's from the ferry in the morning on the way to work from
Kirribilli. When I move, it'll probably be to the south or east of the CBD so no more ferries.
