Football?

Well the big game turned out to be absolute rubbish and a couple of lads who were at the football for the first time probably wont be going back in a hurry. We ended up having a few beers afterwards near to where the Comedy Store used to be and then headed into Surry Hills. It ended up being a fairly late night. Didn't get to eat any pies after all, which is probably not a bad thing.

Went over to fix Dave's broadband on Sunday afternoon for the sum of six bottles of Three Sheets and a steak. Job successfully completed, some plans were made for a lads weekend in Brisbane in a couple of weeks. Called into the city on the way back home to watch Utd v Newcastle make a pretty inauspicious start to the season so that was an equally late night.

Played football again on Monday night. There are a few of the players who would have been able to fit in rightly at the Sydney Football Stadium. Mind you we had reduced numbers this week as some of the chaps don't like playing in the rain the poor souls.

In between have been closely following the Olympics or I should say closely following the Aussies in the Olympics as that's all that's on TV over here. I suppose every country is the same but Channel 7 have been particularly bad and have so many adverts (even in the middle of a race!) it tends to put you off after a while. SBS, the "Complementary Olympic Broadcaster," haven't missed a second of the water polo though.

Have finally replaced the once-again-knackered Converse with some new ones. Captured the moment for posterity.
